For all you seasoned Facebook Marketers, this one will be a little bit of a re-cap on Facebook Business Manager. But, for anyone that is new to the game, this will be a game changer for you!

In this article we will go over what Facebook Business Manager is, the tools available to you through the platform, and the 5 reasons you may need to sign up for an account.

What is Facebook Business Manager?

Facebook Business Manager provides advertisers with a central location to manage their business activity on Facebook. The tool also allows for advertisers to access their business partner’s accounts without having to necessarily be “friends” on Facebook. The platform is 100% free and provides a seamless way for marketers to run, track, and manage their ad campaigns. Business manager also allows you to manage multiple business pages and ad accounts all from one easy-to-use dashboard.

Facebook Business Manager Tools:

Within Business Manager you have the ability to access a ton of great tools that will really help you organize, optimize, track & analyze your campaigns. These tools will give you a better understanding of who your audience is, where they are, and how they’re engaging with your content.

You’re also able to add digital assets to an account making them easily accessible to your employees. This leads us to one of the best features within Business Manager; assigning roles.

Facebook Business Manager

This feature gives you the ability to assign roles within a particular account, or multiple accounts at once. You can make someone an admin or an employee giving them varying levels of access to the tools within the platform.

For instance, if you give someone “employee” access, they will be able to create ads, view pages, and view your business settings. But, they will not have access to assign roles, or the payment methods. If you give someone “admin” access, they pretty much have the same rights as the business owner.

This is great for those of you who use vendors or agencies to help run their account. The platform allows business owners to stay very organized, and gives them complete control over their account.

Side note: Please be careful who you give “admin” access to. This level of access pretty much gives the user all the same rights as the account owner. If you ask us, it’s always best to err on the side of caution when assigning roles in your account.

5 Reasons to Use Facebook Business Manager:

  1. You are an actual business or have more than 1 person working on your Facebook and/or Instagram marketing.
  2. You need to manage multiple Facebook or Instagram assets such as Facebook Pages, ad accounts, or app.
  3. You use a vendor to help create, run, or manage your Pages or ads, but want your business to maintain ownership of all Pages, ad accounts, and assets.
  4. You want control over access and permissions to your assets without attributing ownership to individuals who assist your business operations.
  5. You want to request access to other pages, ad accounts, and apps, or share your pages, ads accounts, and apps with other agencies.

So, in our eyes at least, pretty much everyone should be using business manager rather than the personal ad account that every Facebook profile gets.

Well, that’s all for now folks, please keep your eyes peeled for more detailed articles on the various features in business manager, and how you can leverage them to improve your campaigns.
